Joe Biden has formally announced his 2024 White House bid on Tuesday.
The US president confirmed his long-expected bid for a second term on the four year anniversary of when he declared for the White House in 2019.
If he wins re-election Mr Biden, already the oldest ever US president, would be 82 at his second inauguration, and 86 when he leaves office.
Donald Trump has already declared his third presidential bid, putting the country on course for a re-match of the 2020 presidential race.
